This Penguin Egg Cozy is handmade by artisans in the Kathmandu Valley, on the outskirts of the capitol city of Nepal. Wool remnants from the carpet industry are used, thus creating a green product by recycling. Women rub the wool fibers on a screen submerged in water, until the fibers bind together. This is a very labor intensive process and can take many hours to produce an item. The felted wool is then shaped around a mold to produce the desired figure.

This Penguin Egg Cozy is so adorable! It's the perfect magical whimsical item to delight little and big kids. Just pop it over the warm soft boiled egg you have just lovingly prepared for breakfast, lunch or dinner. And don't forget to have the dippy soldiers at the ready!
