This is the most amazing Organic Comforter I have ever had the pleasure of using! The Organic Comforter is so soft on the outside because it's covered with 100% certified organic cotton sateen woven in 300 thread count. It's filled with 100% certified organic fine merino wool, which makes it soft, firm enough and not too heavy; just right. You sleep better when you use bedding filled with wool, I can assure you! It's amazing, a complete revelation to me.

The Organic Comforter is indeed filled with Organic superfine merino wool, the finest and softest wool of any sheep. Unlike "traditional" wool, merino wool is much finer, softer, and best of all, itch-free for all. The merino wool used is certified organic according to the National Organic Program of USDA, by CERES, a reputable Germany based and a USDA accredited organization.

The organic cotton is hand planted and handpicked in southern parts of India. It is certified organic according to Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) by Control Union, one of the oldest and most reputable certification agencies.

People have slept on wool for thousands of years, especially in the hottest climates. Scientists have not been able to reproduce wool fiber and its unique three-dimensional structure that creates millions of air pockets to trap warmth thus, providing a much better and deeper nights sleep.

There are many benefits from sleeping with products made with merino wool:
  • free of chemicals, it provides relief from MCS (multiple chemical sensitivities)
  • regulates body temperature by ensuring the body gets to a comfortable sleeping temperature more quickly and stays there longer, as your pulse rate relaxes and the duration of the most beneficial phase of sleep known as REM increases.
  • can last for decades if properly cared for. Initially wool bedding costs more than a synthetic or down bedding but in the long run, it offers the best value for your money and best comfort.
  • wool bedding is highly recommended for people with arthritis, rheumatism and back pains.
  • wool bedding is free of arsenic, lead and VOCS.
  • wool is fire resistant and is the safest choice for bedding. Wool is difficult to ignite because of its unique structure and moisture absorbing ability.
  • doesn't lose shape because of the wool's high resiliency ability. Wool does not shift and stays in place unlike down.
  • dust mites, as well as mold and mildew, and bacteria hate wool because they cannot get to our bodies through the complex and unique three-dimensional dry wool fibers!
Product care:
  • Regular sunning and airing will naturally revitalize and disinfect bedding.
  • Do not machine wash or dry clean. Spot clean only with a soft brush and mild detergent. Allow product to air dry completely.
  • A washable duvet cover is highly recommended for organic comforters.
